I am using those grip pedals (platforms) like these (http://greenfishsports.com/product/363_390-pedals-and-cleats/4336-dimension-bike-pedals-dimension-mountain-compe-pedals-blacksilver.html). My problem is they seem to eat through my shoes like nobody business. The sole seems to tear up after a few months. Any recommendations what shoes work best? I've tried sandals in the summer, sneakers, regular street shoes.

Work boots? Something with a harder sole? Change to different, less aggressive platforms?

Maybe fit the power grip strap kit to another set of pedals? less tooth y..
Or file the teeth down and rounder..

I ordered a set of these last week. They should be here any day and I am anxious to give them a try.
