The new 2011 Mash looks sweet. The older ones are also legit.

I do agree that you should at least test ride a fixed gear bicycle... maybe find a friend that'll let you take a couple rides. If you have the money, go for it. Make sure you do adequate research if you do decide to sink a crap load of money into this bike.

the geometry on the mash frame is dumb for use primarily off the track. only the size xl is close to sensible geometry.

well what other italian companies make good FG frames besides Bianchi, Pinarello, De Rosa, etc??

Anyone know anything about Volume Bikes? they have two FG frames, the Cutter, and the Thrasher...I remember them from BMX...can anyone shed light?

Any reason why you only want Italian frames? Just curious..

If you ride any bike to be cool, you may as well not start at all.

I love my 50CM Mash frame. Feels awesome to ride on the track, and I don't have any problem riding it on the street either.

They are gorgeous frames when not in stupid colors.

The same reason Jared Letto has... street cred yo; gotta get as much as you can get if ya know wut I'm sayin.

Jared Leto thought so too. Honestly, after seeing him on one, I've lost most of my respect for gazzeta riders... sorry guys.

I think they're expensive.

Myth. I just did a century today on my Mash complete with two ferry rides. It's fast and nimble on the street with excellent handling and comfort if setup right.

Not sure why this persists when the majority of Mash frames are seen on the street... And it's also an amazing track bike. The super tight wooden velodrome I ride mine on is a blast with the Mash.

^usually because of the typical brakeless/risers/high ratio/dual aerospokes/brooks/useless fender setups.
