I'm 36, female, married, employed, have a young son, and spend my spare microseconds moving across the earth under my own power. I'm a mid-pack long distance speedskater, runner, and recently rediscovered cycling. Toronto has a great path network (a lot of it along water), if only we could get a speedskating oval...
I never really gave up cycling, but I always had such trouble with bicycle seats that I figured that the only way I'd ever cycle regularly is in buying a recumbent. In the spring, after tearing a foot tendon during a marathon, I had to put in hours a week on my bike to maintain fitness. So after poking about the web, I bought a Brooks for my ancient, rigid mountain bike (transformed into a commuter, post child). I've since then I've been riding to work almost daily with 50 km rides on the weekends, even completed a sprint tri and bought myself a nice road bike (followed closely be a second Brooks).
My name is Jody, and my life was changed by a bicycle seat.

Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
