Classic & Vintage - Too much stuff!

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Sooo, what are the red and yellow and RWB fades hanging there? They even look to be about 56's...........

are those brakes on the "surplus" blue and white frame nutted? I know a young lady who could use them on a build
But so well organized. I like how you stagger the wheels. I am going to try that.

I LOVE photos like this.
I can use them to mollify my wife when she thinks I'm "overdoing it" with bike stuff!
Are you doing your own frame repair? Very well organized for limited space.:D

I'd be happy to take any 531 frames or Raleigh folders off your hands... :D

I was gonna say sell anything that doesnt fit you, but your frames seem to be pretty consistent in size, woops!

You are taking the wrong tack, Kurt. Your problem is not too much stuff, it's too little room! :)

I love the live critter-trap behind the fan on the left! Get that out in the yard and you'll free-up room for a few more saddles or bars.

A pair of 1985 Falcons, and they are.

Recessed, and I have two sets. Hoarding at least one set.

I didn't know if it was going to work when I tried it. It's arguably one of the best space-saving tricks in that shed.

Nope, any frame repair around here is done by Mike Terraferma or Dirk Smeets.

Someone else already seems to have eyes for the Falcons, and I'm after another R-20 lead, believe it or not.

For better or worse, I standardized pretty quickly...

I'll wind up spending every day releasing critters - where the heck will I put them? Jed's mansion?

I cleared out all my 8-speed after my EL-tubed Guerciotti was wrecked. Only the Pinarello runs 8-speed - Campy 8-speed.

on one hand, I feel much better knowing the size of my bike collection isn't too large.
on the other hand, I'm pretty darn jealous.

You have reaffirmed my decision to buy stock in the vinyl covered hook company.
Seriously,
Nice setup.
Where would we be w/o vinyl coated screw-in bicycle storage hooks? :)
I have only five bikes, but I hang all of them in my code-minimum size 2-car garage, above the cars.

While my stock pile is no where near as large (and I kinda plan to keep it that way), I really need to build some kinda item hanging device, it would clear up room so I dont have wheelsets leaning against the walls and what not.

I actually have taken the opposite approach, and have thinned my herd down to 3 bikes. I'd like to pare it to one, but don't know if I can.
Not too much stuff, just too small a storage place...

I sold or donated 6 yesterday, and cleared out nearly all my unwanted parts. I'm left with 2 projects, and 2 bikes that I don't really ride but don't want to get rid of. and 5 riders. When the projects are done its gonna be too many again though I'm afraid.
