2010 Stumpjumper Elite
2010 Epic expert
2011 Stumpjumper comp

All three are available and are within $100 of each other. What is the best value of the three? Any opinions or suggestions are welcome. I am getting back into the sport after a long while off the MTB. I would be doing recreational riding and no racing.

Depends on the trails you ride between the epic and stumpy. More aggressive leans towards the stumpy and more CC towards the Epic. Stumpy little more versitile with the longer suspension and still handles and climbs very well. I would get the 2010 elite over the 2011 comp...I like the adjustable shocks and the upgrades that come with the elite and their was no major design differences between the two years that i have been made aware of. That is my 2 cents...not matter which one you get...if you ride it you will love it. Enjoy and let us know which one you went with. I have a 2010 elite and love it....reads great...was the best ride out of all the bikes i test rode.
