Im in the process of adding bb7 mechanical discs to my '99 GT Zaskar. How is the best was to secure the rear brake cable housing to the rear seat stay? Zip ties or is there something better to use?

I'm using the a2z dm-uni adapter for the rear. For the front I have a fox 32 float rl (140mm tavel) but the steer tube has been cut and may be too short. I need to take it to the shop, at a minimum I need a flush head set to give me as much space as possible, no spacers, and hope everything fits properly.

That's a big fork for a old Zaskar, the 99 models came with forks that had travel ranging from 65mm (2.5") to 80mm (3.15").
I wonder what it'll ride like.

As reptilezs recommended, use the stick on guides with zip ties. But I'd question using a 140mm fork on a '99 frame. The max travel for that bike is probably 80mm and putting a 140mm will result in a choppered out handling. Not to mention, the frame wasn't designed for that much travel and may result in a frame failure.

i would re think your build right now. the fork would slacken the head and seat angle by 3 degrees and raise the bb up way high. i wouldnt put more than 100mm travel fork on it.

I was thinking the same thing, I mocked it up last night and to me it doesn't look right. The fork is supposed to be adjustable from 140mm to 100mm, but does that just change the travel length or the overall fork length? If this fork will not work does anyone have any suggestions as to what is out there that I could use.
