I am planning to order a pair of all city white double straps but I am just curious as to how long the color will last as compared to darker straps such as black or brown.

Get black. The white straps on my Madison looked like crap after a few weeks.

My black all-city straps didnt look the best where the straps loop through after minimal use.

My Soma Doubles are more of a grey color, but still don't look too bad.

I usually opt for white components so that they can get dirty and then everyone knows how much I ride my bike.

I figure with leather straps, those are like dress shoes. I don't know that anyone really breaks out the kiwi colored shoe polish and cleans and conditions them ?

That's why black nylon straps would be my choice. They'll last longer and hide the accumulated filth from rides.

I just ordered white deluxe doubles by All City from Universal Cycles for $44. If this thread is still alive I'll let you know in a month or so.
