Hi,
I'm confused. I think I could use a pedal with adjustable Q. So I
am considering the Look CX6. I got a reply yesterday that said I was wasting my time. I have had several knee injuries, and I think a couple MM extra on one side would give me better biomechanics. It's a lot of money on a maybe. I already have a Sidi road shoe; I git it for spinning classes; and because I was hoping to do the road bike thing again at some point. So all I need is pedals for this 'experiment'.
And I do think I'd like the larger platform. I like my Eggbeaters, but I wonder if a Look might not help my knees by supporting the foot better. But mostly I'm confused.
I spend a lot on cycling; and I don't mind it. But I hate throwing money away. Help?

Well, I have the Look CX6's, and I love them. Before you spend any money, however, maybe you should see a fitting specialist to get a pedal fitting. It's usually only about $20, and they'll reccommend the best fitting of your pedals. You could then look at your options as to which pedal would give you the best fit. The guys who do these fittings are awesome when you schedule some time with them, and they'll take the time to answer ALL of your questions and concerns.

Have you thought about Kneesavers?

Bpohl,
glad to see you like your Looks. Is this fitting part of the Fit Kit?
Or is it something more exotic? Have you tried adjusting the Q at all?
55/Rad,
Thanks, but
I have Kneesavers. They are overkill for most people.

Check out the information on Speedplay's in the thread 55/Rad noted. I've got dodgy knees and use the X series on my various race bikes. More or less unlimited float, and some models have different spindle sizes available.

Speedplays also have elongated mounting holes for the cleats which will allow you about mount the cleats inward or outward about 3/4 of cm.

I'm a guy, but frankly, I think we'd be better off if the adult women were in charge...

What? They're already in charge?...nevermind :)

You must not have gotten the memo, dated quite some time ago. Say around Adam and Eve
