Commuting - Maybe there is such a thing as good bike karma :)

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Answered a guys Craislist ad that was looking for a MTB front wheel since his got stolen. I have like 8 sets of wheels around here, so I told him if he wanted to stop by work and pick it up it was his, free. He tried to pay me when he got it, but I told him just to pay it forward if he got the opportunity.
Hour later my cell rings and an email followup for a job offer that's 40 miles closer to home and pays $30k more than my current. Hmm, decisions decisions :)
Like to think it's karma in play....

That would be incredibly cool if the story ended here. But it gets better. :D

That is awesome. Congratulations, man. Will you be able to bike commute now, too? That would make it perfect.

Everything is connected in some way. It's just that some people realize that sooner, some later. And some never. But, yes, it is all related.

Yeah, I'll still have a bi-modal commute, but much less in the car than I have now. I'm 84 miles door to door on my commute now, and taking this job will be right in the mid 40 mile range door to door. About 20 of that makes use of the same trail (W&OD) that I use now.
That was a super nice gesture on your part by answering his ad and then giving him a wheel.

Man, you gotta love it when that happens. Congratulations, that is awesome. I like to think that what goes around, comes around. Even if you don't get any immediate reward, it still gives you a good feeling doing something like that--at least it does for me.
