Trying to send Siu Blue Wind a private message for access to women's forum and the system won't let me as I don't have 50 postings. I would rather not fill up a page with worthless stuff just to get to send the message. What is the answer? Thanks.

Go to the intro section and welcome new members is one way to not fill up a page with worthless stuff. We're working on a code fix to allow PM to staff regardless of number of posts. If all else fails, you can email me at tom@bikeforums.net, though, and that will give you a staff contact point. Also, you need the 50 posts for access to restricted forums, anyway, like Women's or P&R.

i'm facing the same situation. I've missed on a "pay it forward" jersey because i was unable to send a PM and now i'm interested in contacting someone who's selling a roadbike, but i can't pm him either.
I guess i'll just have to start posting more. Fortunately I do have quiet a few -not totally irrelevant- questions.

You can also upgrade to Titanium Membership if you would like to get PM access faster. The upgraded membership can be purchased art http://www.bikeforums.net/payments.php. The Titanium usergroup has no minimum post count for PM access.

For things like the jersey, you can post a visitor message on the profile of the person you are trying to contact.
