I just saw this little phrase in another thread. I like it and it describes me to a "T"!:thumb:

In your case, what does it mean?

I'm not total car free. But I can go weeks without having to drive it. Thus making me "car lite". :D

You are in luck, some here consider that car free so you get to move from cookies to Pie.

I thought 'CAR LITE' referred to white or silver colored vehicles.

Car lite is great and very doable! :)

I started that way and ended up car free, but I would go back to car lite if I needed to...

No but there's free pie at the end of the ride!

That's a great statement to make... both for you personally and for your community. Congratulations!

Pies and Cookie. mmmmm.

I'm car lite too. I aim to spend no more than $20 per month in gas. Most of the year I leave my vehicle at work and commute and do small tasks via the bike, but have the Jeep if I need it during the day.

I'm a little out of sync though right now. The spare bike is at work and the jeep is in the garage for maintenance.

Car lite has been working well for me for a few years now.

Now where the heck is the pie?

I've said it before...as a successful carfree person, I have enormous respect for carlite people. I admire that they can leave the car in the driveway moswt of the time. It's like being a good social drinker. Me, I can only be either a teetotaller or a drunk passed out in the gutter--nothing in between.

Pies and cookies will make me fat. I'm glad I'm riding a bike...

Cookies, pie and booze. This is a good thread.

I am car-lite, my wife, not so much. I use my truck about once a week, I have a standing appointment to far/early to ride my bike to after work.

I don't consider myself car free yet, but extremely car lite, since I spend more money in a year on gas for my home lawn equipment than my SUV, so do I still get some pie?

Somebody mentioned booze? A blonde microbrew will suffice.

I went more than three months on a tank of gas from early July to early October — and I wasn't trying to go car-light. I just enjoy riding my bike a lot more than driving.

I think that describes me... I usually end up going with her to a movie or something... about once a week. She really wants to keep the car, whereas I really don't need it.
