Hello,
I'm considering offering courier services around my town (~40k population, but there is a demand).
My first question: Is a fixie good for bicycle couriers? There aren't a lot of hills, but the few that there are are 6%+ grade. Besides, most of my jobs would be downtown which is flat for the most part.
Second question: Are there any good carbon fiber/bamboo fixies out there that would fit my purpose? That accept rear rack and fenders?
Third question: If fixie isn't the way to go, are there any carbon fiber or bamboo bikes on the market that accept rear racks and fenders?
Thanks in advance!
PS, I'd trade my 2010 Trek Madone 6.9 for a Trek Carbon District in a heartbeat!
