Man, I've tried on every shoe my size in every LBS within 100 miles. Shimano, Lake, etc, etc, etc. They all feel way to narrow; I can't imagine riding in them. I wear a 10.5 D. Any good ideas? I prefer a more rugged hiking boot style like the Lake MX155 (I tried those, too; great shoes but about as wide as a banana peel!)
Thanks!

I have wide feet but had to settle for a forte traverse II in size 9. At first it was stupid tight, but it loosesned up after a while. once it loosened up, it was perfect. Given teh rubber the soles are made of is rather crack prone, so you know.
For what it's worth, my wide feet are due to flat feet...one foot has a barely noticable arch, the other has no arch at all.

thats better than having wicked arched feet man, i have arches so big in my feet that there are arches on both sides of my feet...like one big on where there should be an arch, and one on the outside of my foot...sucks balls cause i have to put custom insoles into everything i put on my feet, or i cant walk straight...
ive seen some pretty wide cannondales for the record...
