Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - New frame suggestions

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
This is my current ride:

I'm thinking it might be time for a newer, better frame than this. I want to keep the fork I have on my Kilo which requires a 1" steerer tube (unless the frame you're recommending comes with a carbon fork that is drilled for a brake) and I want to spend around $300.
Fire away.

What's wrong with the current frame?
If you really want to keep that 1" fork then you should get an Angus (http://www.irocycle.com/angusframeset.aspx) or the lugged Kilo (http://bikeisland.com/cgi-bin/BKTK_STOR20.cgi?Action=Details&ProdID=1876http://bikeisland.com/cgi-bin/BKTK_STOR20.cgi?Action=Details&ProdID=1876), both of them are somewhat lateral moves...
Soma Rush would be a very nice choice.

theres a thread that says frames under 500, you might look there for a few ideas as you say you dont need a fork.
The kilo is a Reynolds frame and is pretty well built. For your $300 price point, I think it will be hard for you to find a better frame with a 1" steer tube. Just keep the Kilo and take the $300 you want to spend on a new frame and buy some new parts instead.
