Hey Everybody -

What do you guys typically ride in? My get up as of late has been a pair of padded spandexers and then I wear a pair of baggy cut off camo pants over the top, some sort of biking sock (cars r coffins if they are clean), a north face dry fit t or really any t-shirt that is clean, my specialized shoes, a pair of specialized gloves with the little ulnar pads, and my giro noggin protector.

So what about you guys?

(on a side note - does anybody know of some really cool mtb clothing companies besides ones based off of bike brands i.e. specialized, kona, etc.)

Baggy shorts and a jersey or just a t-shirt...sometimes jeans...never spandex.

My gloves are the specialized ones with the kevlar protecting the knuckles.

Sombrio kicks some serious ass. Owned and operated by riders who still ride. :)

I ride...everything. The only thing I guess I don't do is really LONG xc rides (my endurance stinks...I can't mentally do a long ride, I needs naps and stuff). I do dh, I hike-a-bike, I huck, I even go to the park and dj park. If I am on my wheels I love life.

I have done longish rides (3 to 6 hours) and no my junk never hurt. Might be because I wear those spandex type boxxers (whatever the heck they are called) but why would having my junked bunched up affect pain...I know doing a drop and landing, ahem, wrong...hurts :)

Spandex is a privilege - not a right.

i am not able to go out in public with JUST spandex on - my manhood on display for all of creation to gander at is just not cool with me - plus i feel like a tool. I was looking around earlier tonight and found this company, seems like a lot of these clothing companies are based out of the UK, so guess i am pretty funked on getting anything from there without paying an arm and a leg. Cool stuff regardless.

Spandex shorts, a cycling jersey, socks, cheap mechanix fast fit gloves, glasses, a helmet, a coolmax cap under the helmet, a camelback, knee warmers if it is under 60 (I have had knee problems in the past), an orange vest and helmet cover when the deer rifle hunters hit the woods.

If find the spandex definitely helps me.

Adidas 2 in 1 lycra underneath some heavy cargo shorts. Usually a light jersey or maybe a T-shirt on top. Of course then there is my helmet, gloves, and MTB shoes. I need to find a good pair of clear lensed glasses otherwise I wear some Oakley A-wires.

One of the reasons I went with the Kerosenes were the adjustable non-slip nosepads. That combined with the temples (also non-slip) seem to fit and hold on to my face pretty well.

They were $109 when I got them. You may be able to find them cheaper. Rudy Project also has other models which can be found as cheap as $40.

Are those ryders any good? i actually have a pair on order that will arrive in a few days for me to try in the shop for looks. It was either those or nikes which were twice as expensive and i couldnt get polarized lenses with the nikes (but i could with the ryders)

But back on topic, it really depends what type of riding im doing but generally just a baggy pair of shorts, t-shirt, camelbak, helmet,

Im looking for sunglasses that will fit my small face. And I mean SMALL. Ryders that "fit small faces" don't fit me quite well.

Didn't need THAT for a visual.

Did you ever read about Thong Man. Cyclist that rode around a lake somewhere in a thong and barely anything else. I think he was killed.

I'll do a search and post the link!
