Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

SART is a multi-use trail. Riders who wear Iron Man jerseys should not expect others to simply jump out of their way, because they are wearing Iron Man jerseys. You are as much as a "moron" as you call out others because they don't "respect your space".
I got my Iron Man Jersey at Wal Mart, right next to the State Champion Jerseys. So get outa my way!!!!
Why would you need to get out of this guys way?

Maybe you were riding in the middle of the lane? It's not just your MUP, you know.

Exactly my point, the trail doesn't belong to just the Tri types, but to everyone one. Hey, but then I guess everyone is a moron when these tri types can't cross over the line to pass.

Been riding that trail for 25+ years and as long as your vocal when you are passing and stay in your lane, you are good to go.. It is when groups get 3 across and in the wrong lane where trouble can happen..
If I am riding with a fast group and we are catching someone riding very slow or a group that looks in-experienced you need to slow down so you can pass safely..

Riding on the SARTP on the weekend during the day is stupid of you want to go fast safely.

Why would they put iron man punching your crotch on a shirt? that such a bad placement for that design, is it really that hard to see or is it a designers inside joke. "Hey Ted did you see where I have iron man punching on this weeks design?", "Yea bill looks like a nut shot to me!"

I train midweek on SART. My speed varies from 20 to 30 mph depending on the wind. However when I pass someone I slow down and pass at their speed plus 2 mph. I say hello, put my head down and get back to business.

Is it a sin to pass ? Perhaps we are all sinners as everyone is faster than somebody. The real sin is those damn IPODs and the people that wear them blissfully driving everybody into the dirt because they just decide now is a good time to spin around. The real problem is inexperienced Bikers that are just plain unaware of their situations. I wish they would quit cussing me out just becaused I surprised them. I'm faster than most and not as fast as some, but I'm just out there riding like everybody else. Be nice !

I should have offered more details. Iron Man and myself were going in opposite directions. Iron Man apparently had an issue with me not riding to the far right of my lane, therefore, he could not use my lane to pass. Kinda hard to do when everyone is riding two abreast.

Apparently? So Ironman could have been calling the two-abreasters the moron?
