Hello all riders,

I am French and new to your forum, and I must say also noob to mountain biking.

I did some downhills last weekends, and I like it !
but I'm not too self confident when I get fast on a bike, especially when you can potentially be killed by all the rocks and trees surrounding you on a forest.

That's why I will buy a fullface helmet on CRC. And now, I have the opportunity to get a brand new 661 Comp Pressure suit 2010 for 50€. It's a friend selling that because it's too small for him.
So is it a good deal ? Especially when I begin biking and I don't want to put all my money in it ?

Another important question is about the size of the suit. It's a L sized.

My personal waist is 80cm and my chest is about 95cm.

So that's perfect for a 661 Vapor pressure suit of M size but I didn't find anything on the web about the Comp version's sizes.


Please can you help me on that topic ?

Just try it on, then you'll know if actually fits.

As for the price, compare it to what you can get it at CRC...they usually have good pricing on 661.

The most difficult will be to find bike shop around my town providing 661 suits...
If someone get the size details about that product, he is welcome ;)

At CRC we can get it at 105€, so I think it's a good deal.


Now I need much more details about the sizes.

EDIT: I mean the seller is hundreds kilometers far from me. So I can't test the suit before buying it.

I will contact 661 on its website for the sizes.

With many other SixSixOne items, you have to be a bit careful of their sizing (gloves tend to run small, knee/shins run large) - - but the Pressure Suits can be trusted to run pretty accurately to the sizing chart (http://www.sixsixone.com/Information_CyclingSizing.aspx).

I don't know your currency; but it looks like your friend is offering for a third of the online retailer price, so that's pretty good. The Comp Pressure Suit is a good suit; it is basically the original PS with some well-thought-out upgrades. Sizing on the large may be a bit roomy for you but better to be a bit on the roomy side with it than too tight and constricting.
