Hi,

In next week I'll visit Canton International Fair in China. I plan to buy there electric bicycle for me and my wife.

I plan to find:
1. Cheap and simple e-bike for my wife (rear wheel drive max 35 kg)

2. Good quality male bike with alloy frame, at least 500 W motor, pedal asisst, and LiFePO4 batteries.

3. Engine, Controler & Batteries for my project:
Extremely fast e-bicycle. I plan to build a light & fast bicycle. The range is not important (max 10 km).

Do You think I can use a scooter motor and LiFePO4 batteries? The scooter motor isnt to heavy?

Please help me, I have only few days for decisions!

Thanks,
Dan

Where do you live?
What kind of speed are you looking for?
Just like everything else, motors come in a variety of voltages and wattages. Most scooter motors are meant for smaller wheels = more torque, higher wattages to get to faster speeds, etc, etc, etc...
Getting an ebike is usually not so easy by saying I WANT SOMETHING, but not knowing what the laws are for where you live, whether they're legal where you are, what's the max speed you're allowed, what's the status of your license, etc, etc, etc.

Before you go. Check with your local police. In Alberta for example, 500 watts is the maximum that allows bikes on the road without registration/insurance.

I'm from Poland. Without registratrion I can use 250 Watts. But I don't need a machine too use everyday. I have other bicycles and vehicles as daily drivers:)

I just wanna build a crazy, fast machine able to run as fast as it gets and use it sometimes:)

I would like to install disc brake.

So please help me to find as strong engine as it gets:)
