Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - Velo Orange leather saddles?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Has anyone tried a VO Leather saddle? I was wondering if anyone has used them as an alternative to the more expensive brooks. And how they actually look in person.

I have a model 6, which is the narrow one like a brooks swallow. It is too narrow for me and I ended up getting a brooks team pro, which is perfect. Side by side the brooks is noticeably better in quality. The velo orange saddle isn't bad, but it isn't a brooks.

I would say buy the sprung model. I have Brooks and all of mine are sprung.
A leather saddle will easily last you a lifetime.

I have the V-O Model 5 (equivalent to Brooks Flyer). I got a deal on it from ebay, so it was even cheaper than what V-O sells them for.
I like it. It's comfy.
ETA: regarding looks—I actually prefer the looks to a Brooks. The leather is a dark brown color that you can only get on the more expensive Brooks models and I like the mottled look on top (even though it is entirely artificial).
