General Cycling Discussion - Endomondo, anyone?

I just started to use Endomondo and very happy with it.
It let me either record or manually enter all types of my workouts, even kayaking!
The accuracy is enough for me, it has all features I need. When the new PRO paid version will come later this month I believe I will buy it without hesitation. I also thinking to buy HRM belt to use in gym.

I am not sure why there is no much excitement about the nice tool as Endomondo. I already have the android cell phone, and the free Endomondo options should be sufficient for most of the riders who are involved into other than cycling sport.

The only grain of salt is that Android is not very good for battery life. I believe I can drain the battery completely in 5-6 hrs, but this is not Endomondo problem, but Androids in general.

I don't use Endomondo myself, but a friend of mine does, and at 60 he rides every day and on weekends logs LOTS of miles. He has it update regulary onto his Facebook page. Pretty cool. When I get an iPhone I'll probably start using it.

I prefer Runtastic. I tried Endomondo and one other android app and didn't like them as much. I really like that Runtastic will audibly tell you the length of the ride (distance and time), pace, and speed at user selectable intervals (either time or distance).

I have messed with Endomondo a bit, I use a Blackberry and it is hard on the battery because it keeps the GPS up and running the whole time. It is accurate and a useful tool in some applications.

I have a regular bike computer for it.

I do not consider Endomondo as a computer replacement, but a GPS compliment and tracking tool.

I especially like that it will track all kinds of my sports, including kayaking.

With my 9630 I know it won't. I am betting 4 hours tops if you run it full time. But then again if you can ride at 30mph average you might just make it. :D

I've found that I get better battery time if I make sure the display is off and I disable the hot chick that tells me what my pace is every mile.
