Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Are there any novice riders in The Woodlands looking for a weekend or evening ride partner.

I am just getting back into riding and due to my size, 300 lbs, have been starting out slowly.

I am in the Porter area. I ride 1314 and route 242. I am also a clydesdale (over 200 lbs) Like to ride 52 mile loop on Sundays and ride hills in Coldspring TX
I am also a clyde average 9 - 11 mph

I would love to hook up with some slow riders. I have a recumbent and would be very comfortable riding 9-11 all day. I am working a lot of overtime lately mostly off on week days. I live very close to The Woodlands and have ridden there many times. Coldspring sounds very interesting also.

Hook up with the W.C.C. (Woodlands Cycling Club). They have rides for every level and ride most days of the week.

Sunday there are a variety of different rides in the Northern Area:

Woodlands Cycling Club Road Ride: Meet at Tailgators Pub on the SE corner of I-45 & SH242 @ 8:30 Am. A little faster pace. (~40 miles)

Market Street HEB @ 8:30am. The main route is approximately 27 miles with at least one (fast) loop through Woodlane Forest. There is a social hour afterward at Jamba Juice / Starbucks Market Street. Ride your bike to the start for more miles!

This is the ride I do each Sunday and we have anywhere from 12 – 30 riders all at various riding levels. It is a great group.
