Classic and Vintage Bicycles: What's it Worth? Appraisals and Inquiries - Raleigh Competition 1973ish

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I just picked up most of a black Competition last night. 21" frame, very good chrome, no dents or rust. It is missing the bottom bracket & non-drive crank & pedal. The rest of the components are correct & in pretty good shape as well. It is too small for me, my wife doesn't want it & my daughter says she'll build her next bike.
I'm trying to decide whether to find the missing bits & build it up stock, or just part it out. Here are a couple of shots of the frame.

Since no one else has offered an opinion yet , I'll offer mine....
I would build it up.
- If you were to part it out, the frame might bring 200-250, but an incomplete crank set will bring less than half of what you would normally expect.
I would suppose the other bits together would bring another couple of hundred bucks, so the sum of the parts would just bring something just in the neighborhood of what the complete bike would bring. (I think somewhere around 500).
Personally I think it's less trouble to sell a bike locally, than dealing with eBay and packing/potential damage.
Generally a nice clean Competition would sell in any Metro area - though YMMV depending in your market.
Thanks! I built it up. Here it is: http://www.flickr.com/photos/28164070@N04/sets/72157625262004712/
