lol they are pretty hideous. but the actual race looks pretty intense. real short sprints with elbow throwing in the turns.

bikeworks built one of these bikes up a while back

ya i remember in that movie i was like wtf is that race? Were the producers too cheap to spring for a velodrome rental? haha

pretty sick, though. I'd be down.

I actually knew / raced with some of the guys who played racers (Team Cinzano) in that movie (Breaking Away) and the double for Dennis Christopher (Dave Stohler) in some of the action scenes.

The guys, except for Quaid, came and spoke at a screening here a few months ago. They had some nice stories to tell
