Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - Nitto RB-018 bullhorns: the REAL scoop on brake levers?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

The interweb has tons of info warning that you can't get a brake lever into the ends of the Nitto RB-018 bullhorns. But then I ran across this thread on London FG/SS:

Scroll down to post #264 by "rickyxt" and you'll see a Bowery with RB-018s and Tektro 4.1 TT levers. Or so the post says. I'd send a private message to that user but lfgss has a silly "nursery" policy that makes it really hard for new users to use their forums.
Will this really work, or is there something I'm missing? Has anyone had DIRECT experience with doing this?
Thanks!

:o Eep. Somehow that didn't turn up in my searching. Thanks...
yeah, best to use google with term "site:www.bikeforums.net" added
BF search doesn't work sometimes... I mean often... actually it's unusual for it to be working.

Easiest solution is to go to your LBS; as you see they have a bunch of levers stock to try with your horns; they can even just determine the size you need and order them for you if they didn't have them on hand... that's what I did for my Nitto B123AA's, I even got away with a rarer red anodized tektro cross lever that matched the "heat treated" sticker on the drops exactly.

I have an RX4.1 on my RB-021's. Installed just fine.

Don't know if having RB-018's would make any difference.
i will go a head and confirm that RB-018's are compatiable with Tektro Bar End TT levers. I used a set on my RBs and now have them on my RB-021
