I just bought my first road bike, a 97 Kestrel 200sci seems and to be in good condition w/ shimano 600 throughout and Dura Ace crank and hubs. I paid $700 for it and was wondering if I over paid or not. I know thats not a lot of money but for a poor college student it's enough, just curious what kind of deal i got. Any info you guys have on this bike would be greatly appreaciated.

Condition of frame and components are everything on a used bike. If all are in good+ condition, you got a great deal. However, with a cf bike, you need to look at whether there are any obvious chips/cracks/abrasions of the finish because I don't think the lifetime frame warranty covers you as not the original owner. Hopefully you asked/owner said it's never been crashed (nor any obvious signs). Sounds like a good deal though - and it's too late anyway, so enjoy the ride!
