Bicycle Mechanics - 700x22 tires fit on my wheel?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I have this vintage 1987ish Bianchi and it has the original FIR rims. It has the stock 700x23 tires on it now but wondering if 700x22 will fit on these rims?

700x22 is more common for tubulars but if you have clincher tires in that size they will fit.

For sure. Width isn't super important. You can probably put anything from a 700x20 to a 700x28 on your rim no problem. Whether a 28 will fit in your frame is a different story, but you didn't ask that question so I don't know why I'm answering it.
The one I am looking at is clincher by the way. It's this one, 700x22..
