Cyclocross - 29er for cross racing

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. I'm thinking of using my titanium 29er mountain bike for cross racing.
Do you think a standard cross tire, (Michelin Mud 2) would work on
my 29er wheels?

yes.
A standard cross tire would probably work, but I'm not sure it's worth it. Unless the course has either a lot of pavement or thick mud, a wider tire is often better.
