Hi :)

I would like to get a Vortex, and was wondering if this, is a good deal.

It is a used complete bike with a Litespeed Vortex 2002 frame. The price is a little over 2000 U.S. dollas.


Fork: Reynolds carbon

Crankset, bottom bracket, front and rear derailleurs, brakeset, shift levers, cassette, chain, wheels and hubs: Shimano Dura-Ace

Pedals: Dura-Ace (Look)

Seatpost: Litespeed Titanium

Stem: Richey

Handlebars: ITM Ultra Light 7075 alloy

Headset: Chris King Threadless

Seat: Selle Italia Gel Flow Flite

Tires: Continental Grand Prix 4000 (silver-gray)

Sounds kinda high. A friend and fellow BF member bought a 2001 Litespeed Palmares less than 2 months ago for $1100 I believe. Excellent condition and top end components.

Not many out there that's for sure. Seems high to me and the one Ron is talking about seems like a steal. From the research I did, which wasn't too much, it looks to be about what they are going for.

If you really want a litespeed Ti bike and it's in good shape, this may not be a terrible deal. Not great, but not terrible. That's the great thing about Ti bikes, they hold their value pretty well.

Edit: this the one on NY craiglist? If so, it's gone.

Google part of your ad and it comes up with a craigslist ad. It's showing as expired, so if you still have their info, maybe you can contact them but if they didn't put their phone number on the ad, you're out of luck.
