I am about to order a Nature boy. Anyone have one yet? Ive got a complete box of parts waiting for a frame. Any suggetions on a SScx frame that wont break the bank? Its got to be Steel though.

Did you end up ordering this frame? I've been trying to find out more about the Nature Boy as well.

It looks splendiferous. I hope to get my grubby paws on one soon...

I took delivery of my Nature Boy (complete bike) last week. It's my first real "cross" bike, so take my feedback with a grain of salt. Fit and finish are surprisingly good for the price. I was expecting some uneveness in the welds, but they look fine. The stock tires aren't suitable for cross, so I swapped them out for some IRD Crossfires. (Tektro) cantilevers also seem a bit weak, but then again I'm used to discs or dual-pivots.

Other than that, it rides great. I love the slack head and seat tube angles. Be sure to check the sizing chart before ordering. I bought a 52, and I normally ride a 54/55.

Congrats! Post pics when you can. Enjoy the new bike.

Very nice! I'm hoping these start showing up at my LBS soon so I can take one for a spin.

Talk it up with your LBS. Based on the sponsored pricing I got from my LBS, it's not a huge risk for them. And they can get it right out of the QBP catalog.

Nice! I did notice there frames run a size big. I ride a 52 and will be ordering a 49. Its the way they measure there frames.
I have to wait a little to order this frame. My Virtue will be coming in soon. I have all of my parts in a box at home waiting.
Once Im done with that I am ordering the Nature Boy and a B side frame. I will post a build thread when it comes in.

The 49 are backordered at QBP (last time I had the LBS check a few days ago). The 49 and 52 go quick when they are in stock at QBP. Have your LBS put it on a Watch Item so they get notified when the frame is available. I'm waiting on a 49 myself too.

A guy at my local shop got one of these. I don't think he's ridden it yet, but I can say from looking at it the colors come out much better in person than they look on the all city website.

I haven't thrown my leg over one but after reading the website is sounds a little heavy. If I remember right it's like 6-7 lbs for the frame and fork. Does it ride like it's heavy?

There's a guy that rides one around here, it's a great looking bike and he is insanely fast on it!

That'll be partially solvable by putting a carbon fork on it. Which kind of sucks cause the paint on the fork is part of the look.

Agreed. I really like the stock fork.

Those really are seriously slack angles! Must be an interesting bike to ride - something you can just let roll over stuff.

i have one of the firsts, built it in august. i opened the box and hated the green, so it's now ivory :)

built as a frameset up

cranks are being swapped for profile's and a larger chain ring in the next month or so

here it is with street tires, i'll update with dirt's on it in a few weeks

these angles are not that slack at all

A shop owner here has one set up as a commuter with hammered metal fenders. It's real nice.

thanks, custom wheels laced by me, H plus Son SL42 rims 32h, Hope trials rear cassette hub (i pulled the frame out to 135mm spacing on a frame alignment table) and all-city sheriff front hub. spokes are dt swiss competition black with black brass wheelsmith nipples.

How do the track rims hold up offroad. I was looking at building a wheel set around those same rims? 135 spacing in the rear is stout! You must ride it off road alot. Im taking mine on some local single track next week.

if i didnt already have a san jose as my commuter bike id def get one of these. a couple friends have them and theyre pretty tight, the only thing i think youd have to change to race them would be knobbier tires and maybe a smaller chainring/bigger freewheel to make the ratio a little more off road friendly.

yea is see mostly trails i would normally take my 29er down. :) the wheels hold up great, i wanted a beefy wheelset to cut through mud, these rims are great, i liek that they're all black with a machined brake surface, very very well made rims.

i went to 135 actually because i had this hub laying around and i run it fixed on occasion with a cog bolted to to 6 bolt side. it's amazing. the cassette allowing me to run down to a 12t cog if i wanted, something freewheels just can't do

Hi,

Im new to the forums ,i saw youre post about the all city NB .
im interested in getting the bike myself.
but im not sure what size to order i think im also getting the 52cm one.
i talked to jeff from all city bikes about the right framesize for me.
He told me im right in between 2 sizes, he rides the 55 cm one but it feels a hair to long for him and he is 1" taller than me
i was wondering how tall you are and how does the bike feel for you?

I'm 5'9", and I normally ride a 54/55 frame. It fits well as a cross bike, which is just a bit smaller than my normal road bike setup. I raced it half a season last year, and will race a full season this year. There were two other NBs racing here last year. I'll probably upgrade to some new wheels this year. Otherwise, it's still stock.
