Northern California - Looking Forward to a Wet Ride Tomorrow!
Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I know, I'm a bit off. That's ok. I have a 95 mi jaunt planned up into the hills near Auburn. It's going to rain. Excellent! I have my PedalForce all set. Tires are inflated, fenders installed, drivetrain cleaned and freshly lubed. Got a new PI rain jacket and waterproof shoe covers. I'll start out with gloves on, but they will likely come off at some point. Leg warmers are dug out so that my legs stay dry. Even found my yellow lensed glasses so that I can see just fine.
I'm looking forward to my first wet weather ride! Assuming I stay warm, it'll be a great time.
If anyone wants to come along, I'm rolling out from home at 8am, and from Folsom Bike (~62 mi from there) at 9:30. I built in time for a cup of coffee from their coffee shop, and a 2nd breakfast.

That sounds like fun! I'm a bit off too. A buddy and mine rode the Primavera early this year in pouring rain. Nothing beats a twisty, steep descent. But throw pouring rain in there and it becomes an adventure. Have fun!
I rode in the rain today. Fixed gear bike, mismatched set of fenders, some lights, a hat, a rain jacket.
The year before last, I showed up early for a group ride in Woodside the day after the rainy Wine Country Century, so I climbed OLH while I was waiting. I wasn't going to have time to go around the long way back to the start, so I turned around and descended OLH as it started pouring.
I love riding in the rain.
Have a good one, Joel.

Put crud racer fender back on yesterday, came in handy today. I love that fender!
The RaceBlades worked out pretty well, as did the new PI rain jacket I picked up yesterday. The shoe covers didn't keep my feet dry as well as I had hoped, so I need something for my feet. I pretty much stayed warm and dry, and ride was good fun.

Yeah, I got all ready for it today too. 87 miles... with barely a sprinkle.
