I know I'm new here but I was wondering if anyone was doing the Howling Halloween Hundred ride in Gainesville, GA on saturday? Does it matter if I go alone on a ride like this..? planning to due maybe the 35 mile ride.. Is anyone else going to do it?

I was considering doing the 35 mile option as well. I should have more than enough time to finish so I don't miss any of the Georgia v Florida game. You can definitely go alone on these rides. They'll have a map for you and should be well marked. Looking at the map for this though , it looks like it's an out and back route. I prefer when a route is a loop.

I wanted to do it, but the 2 hour drive at 5:30 just doesn't sound like fun. The rest stop food sounds delicious. Pumpkin rolls and PB&J sandwiches.

Hmmm. Now I'm starting to consider the Fall Classic ride in Athens instead. It's the same day.

Doesn't start until 10am, includes shirt, special Terrapin pint glass, and tour of the Terrapin Brewery which means.......my fiance will be along to be the designated driver. Post ride alcohol wins everytime.

Well, the Fall Classic was amazing. Weather was great, I liked the 10am start time, and drinking good beer was a nice reward after the ride. This is a ride I will do every year as long as they offer it. Better than watching UGA lose to Florida yet again. So lame.

They did run out of maps early and there were some intersections that weren't marked well.
