a while back I saw a picture of a guy riding riser or flat bars with cool looking bar ends kind of like bullhorns but knobby looking. I wanted to see the picture again and see what it looked like before I switch to that kind of setup. anyone have a link or know where I could find the picture?

thats close, but I think the bar ends went a little back from the bar too. they were like end knobs almost.

I was actually looking at the cane creek ones. they look super comfy. but still no picture of the bike im talking about... he was doing some sort of trick. jumping over something....
Is there any reason why you need exactly the same setup as the trick-doing guy?

no particular reason. I just remember it looking very functional but cant recall the exact picture. I would like to see exactly what was going on with his setup to see if it would fit my needs.

This beast is soooo sick, looks super fun too.
Just toss on some decent pedals and throw that hipster cyst in the trash ;)

They look great
I fail to see any functional difference between the "that is so super sickrad i am sold!" cockpit and my own from the second post.
Except that the photograph is more artfully composed.

take a wild guess
Schwinn something or other I'm thinking? Just a great looking bike and I'd like to see more pics of it - SS/Fixed? etc.

last year that bike would have landed in the jackass thread, my how the times have changed. Bar ends and mud make a bike soooo sick?
I'm most impressed by the fact that it seems to be entirely free-standing. It's not touching the wall, and there's nothing holding it up, and it's not propped up on anything...
I also like how he took an old "Xtra Lite" (hi-ten steel) sticker off a bike boom anchor and threw it on the downtube.
Even though that bike was made in 2007.
Because that makes sense.

I have a bar Identity crisis just about every month. so far Ive run nitto track drops 2 kinds of bullhorns shallow track drops from eighth inch, no name brand wing shaped cruiser type bars, origin 8 tiki bars, and currently running porter type bars that I believe came off a LINUS. if anyone wants to trade me some nice risers for my tiki bars I still have them.
That's funny, I've had the same bar setup on my fixiefix for about a year and a half.

Im never totally satisfied with my bar setup. bull hors stretched me out too far. drops made it hard for me to see in even light traffic, moustache bars felt way too wide. Im hoping the bar end riser combo has some of the bemnifits of the ones I liked best.
