Hi all you lovely BF mecanicos! I have a 7700 Dura-Ace hub with a blown FH body. I am not keen to spend over 100~dollars on a NOS replacement. What are my option for replacement bodies; Tiagra 9, 105 9 speed, Ultegra. etc? Will the dustcaps and seals match/mesh OK?
thanks :)

No one knows this offhand...search doesn't turn up very much on this question. Anyone, Bueller?

Ok, riddle me this: will any 9 speed road freehub body fit on to the 7700 hub? Say, a Tiagra or 105 level body from today?

I am guessing that the Ultegra and DA would inter change, but shimano doesn't list this in there current catalog. Well you need to hit the shop to see how the free hub body's are shaped and how they mount to the hub,and might have different off set to the hub and bolt that holds it to the hub. I do know than the races on your DA are machined and the 105 probably not. If a different model free hub body fits your hub then the cone should probably be for that free hub so that the cone diameter and seal is correct, but I prefer the machined cones and races. I have some 1979 6 speed DA EX hubs and Shiimano said I could make them 8 or 9 speed compatible with a DA free hub swap and use the new cone that matched. Good luck
