This is the first time I have built up this type of frame, so my question may be obscure or common.

How do I mount the rear brake? A standard brake bolt goes all the way through the hole in the frame so it won't snug up. I can't imagine I just add a bunch of washers around the bolt. Is there a different type of bolt/nut I should use?

Thanks

This frame came originally with a sort of nut for the rear brake bolt. Part of it was cylindrical, like the ones on all other bikes, but the part closer to the frame had the shape of a nut, and I think it used an 8mm open wrench. If you haven't arrange it yet, you may just try a nut with some lock tight, and see if that does it.

Your photo doesn't help much... any chance of a pic looking up between the stays?

From what I can see, a kludge with a washer wouldn't be the end of the world... seems like it'd be hidden.
