my first CF frame experience....with my previous steel frames, no problem, just grease and tighten. With CF? what do i use to prevent an alu seatpost from seizing...some tell me powder, I read of some magic gel/paste and some even say grease is fine...

help!!

Carbon paste. Your shop should have it. I use this stuff. (http://www.finishlineusa.com/products/fiber_grip.htm) I'm pretty sure your Aluminum seat post won't seize to the carbon seat tube.

Just to provide some closure- Toothpaste works!

Just put some onto the post (mines ALU), let it dry for a bit (2-3 mins) and jam it in. No slippage.

Was about to get the Finish Line fibre grip when the shop mechanic stopped me and say I run the risk of seizing the post with that stuff and recommended toothpaste instead.
