Bob/FLA, a newbie around here, is putting together a ride from the Gulf at Crystal River to the ocean at New Smyrna Beach, on Sunday, November 14. It's about 129 flat miles. If you want in, PM me.

Wow, flat with the wind behind you guys. Nice planning! Watch out for those overpasses, you may need to use your 53/15.:D

Never done a flat ride. I have but with bends round the Dykes over the marshes it doesn't seem it.

Don't think I have high enough gears to stay with the hammerheads that would be doing it. Enjoy the ride-but Do take it easy- 4 hours riding if you are not used to it may cause some Butt pain:innocent:

It does soung as though this would be a good ride at this end of the year so hopefully you get enough riders to make it worthwhile.

Hammerheads - I don't think so. Bob's abilities seem well-suited to mine, which means I hope he can pull me the last few dozen miles. I've looked foreward to trying this ride for a few years, and I think we can pull it off. I'm somewhat disappointed about the lack of response from BF 50+ Florida riders, though. Where are you guys?

Flat, tailwind, warm? Sounds like it would be worth the trip from Chicago in mid-November.

I didn't see this posted in the Southeast Regional subforum. Do you want just the 50+ crowd to ride with you?

Anyone and everyone. Bob did post it in the SE forum a couple of weeks ago, but hasn't pushed it much.
