Folding Bikes - Here's my folder, what ja' think?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Picked this up on CL. At first I wasn't going to keep it. It didn't feel quite right. Then I replaced to original gum-walled tires with knobbies, trued the wheels, repacked the rear bearings, and adjusted the headset. Now it rides pretty good and I think I'll keep it. It's nice having a bike that I can fold and put into the trunk of the car. I also degreased the chain and relubed it with WhiteLightning dry lube so that I don't get chain gunk all over me when I'm carrying the bike around. Anyone familiar with these bikes. I added a close-up pic of the decals.

Very nice, I had one they are a bit on the heavy side but they do ride nice. If I had kept mine I was going to swap out the front forks to make it lighter.

You have a BMW/Montague Mountain Bike.. also known as a Montague BiFrame .. you can see it on the Montague Site (http://www.montaguebikes.com/montague_history.html) they seem to always get good ride reviews for a full size folder..
I noticed this bike has single-walled rims. Maybe I'll think about getting some stronger ones. I will be riding this bike on some trails and I like my bikes to be reliable.

You should take a look at Montague's newer models. They've come a long way since that original frame design. They're certainly lighter now and a lot easier to fold. Check out http://www.montaguebikes.com/2010-folding-bikes/

I wonder if they would give me a trade-in.
