Seems summer does not want to leave us here in southern Arizona.
Was 94 degrees yesterday (a new record for the date) but only 87 degrees today. Still quite nice out tandeming mid-mornings.
Glad we have no need for snowshovel/blower as like some folks do right now.
Pedal on!

We don't even get many days of 94F during our "summer". I'm glad you posted this; it reminds me to get my flood insurance this year. I'm not sure why a picture of an arid landscape reminded me of this but maybe it is my contrary nature.

Interesting...

The low was 35°F here in the 'Hotlanta' area yesterday and they're predicting 28°F as the low for next Friday, with moderately low 30's - 50's in between. Go figure.

Nice 50 miler today amid the very last of the fall color with a high around 45°F here in mid Michigan. Glad we don't live in a cold place like Atlanta!

50 degrees at dawn's first light, but by mid-ride 65-70. Definitely a beautiful October Norcal day (with apologies to all in less temperate climes)

We too had a good riding day today. There was very little snow, and the roads were on again-off again wet. But my dear stoker was looking for a ride after nearly a week off-bike, so to church we rode, and back.

Greetings from the land of "there's no such thing as bad weather, just inadequate clothing"*

Besides, without cold and snow, the cross country skiing would be no good!

* I do make an exception for freezing rain.

And a beautiful PNW ride today. 50 miles on a fun rural route. Mostly sunny, glorious fall colors especially for the PNW, and still bright green fields from yesterday's rain. Stoker did really well and we had our first perfect hill sprint to lead to the city limits. Lot of power when that tandem wants to go. Legs are a bit painful right now. More elevation gain than usual.

Have done rides in many states.
Actually spent a full 3 months (summer) in Eugene. Great riding in that area, especially the covered bridges.
Spent several years tandeming in southeast Michigan . . . great fall colors and apple cider this time of year.
While adequate clothing helps when it's colder, it becomes sort of burdensome layering up and knocking off the occasional icicle hanging off rear derailleur!
While southern Arizona allows us to ride 13 months out of the year, we do have our 'not so pleasant' days, especially in summer. This year Tucson had 76 days of 100+ degree weather. It lasted from late May until first week of October.
That is why, now that we are retired, we usually bail out for the summer months to a cooler places to ride our tandem.
So from now 'til end of May we should have 'cooler' riding temps!

My wife and I had the tandem out yesterday for a really nice ride up the volcano. The weather in Sicily is nice year around; although, good rain gear is required occasionally. The weather has been in the high 70’s the last two weeks, with rain about two days each week. The weather isn’t looking too promising for today; windy and wet!
