Thinking about getting one of these from PB, the kind that just attach to the down tube. Was wondering how bad they get in the way of pedaling, especially if you already have a decent amount of pedal strike. Thanks.
I would assume you would be fine.
It is fixed to the downtube, as long as you have enough room between that and your wheel, you will be ok.
Might not work with clearance like this tho:

I think that my wheel will clear it Im just worried about it getting in the way of pedaling.
Do you have clips/straps or clipless?

Straps.
measure the length between the insides of the crank arm, there's actually lots of room there.
