I'm looking for a shallow drop bar (120 - 130mm) with a 26mm sleeve to fit a traditional quill stem. A relatively flat ramp would be cool, too. A rare thing maybe? Will welcome any recommends.

Last time I posted I had just crashed big time and multi-fractured my pelvis-- in mid July. Now back on the bike, can do about 30 miles before the damaged area get painful. Slowly getting it back.

At 63, we can still bounce back...even if we don't bounce so well on the pavement.

Would this work?

How shallow. For example Ritchey Biomax bars can be bought almost anywhere with a 26 center section and a drop of 130mm. There are bars that are even more shallow than this.

Thanks for the ideas. I've tried the Ritchey anatomic bend and find it a little radical for my own comfort. The VeloOrange looks good with 125mm drop...the relatively long reach will necessitate a shorter stem extension but I don't spend much time on the bar tops. Worth trying. Thanks.

I like my quill stems for both their looks and easier fit.....but being definitely "classic", fewer bars now seem available.

Back in the day this (http://cgi.ebay.com/CINELLI-Giro-d-Italia-64-42-Handlebars-/160501012021?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item255e9b1635) would've fit the bill.

*except you'd have to look for a 26...

Salsa makes a set of drop bars and the model is called "short and shallow" I put a set on my wifes mixte and she loves them.

I have Salsa Short and Shallow bars on my Casseroll and they are very comfortable, but not really shallow at 144mm drop.
These from Deda might do the trick.

Deda 215 shallow has 135 drop. No compact bars have 26 clamp.

You might find a traditional bend shallow bar closer to 130. I don't know how they are measuring drop at Velo-Orange but that bar looks a lot deeper drop then 125. Try looking here:
