I am building a SS out of a road frame that I won in a contest.

This is my first "bottom up" build, so I'm learning as we go along with respect to parts and compatibility. This is a budget build, so please refrain from comments about buying cheap parts :)

For the BB/Crankset combo, I am looking at these items from nashbar:

A run of the mill shimano square taper BB:

And a 46T SS crankset:
http://www.nashbar.com/bikes/Product_10053_10052_519056_-1_202130_10000_200376

My question is what length of spindle should I get? I measured the length of the BB and its 68mm, so I assume I need a 68 x something? There are different spindle lengths ranging from 107mm to 127mm, and I have no idea what i'd need.

Thanks for looking.

You want us to tell you what bb spindle length to choose and we have no idea what frame you have?

Please don't listen to gt35.

I'm fairly certain that Vuelta crankset takes a 107mm bb but you could always contact Nashbar to be on the safe side.

The longer the spindle the more space you have between frame and crank, for like a 3 ring crank for example. But you dont need that.

Also did BF change their board or something? It looks different from when I was browsing earlier. I know you guys must have noticed it because all of us just read BF and never ride!
