I was taught when you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything. The OP is not asking for an opinion, but for pictures. Obviously he likes it.

The tong and cheek remarks can be funny, but can also really kill a well meant thread.

I prefer to call this "samurai wrap" for obvious reasons.

I don't know that I'd do it on my own bike (especially after looking at the link and seeing how much work it is), but I do kinda like the look.

PITA!!! Even though my first attempt looked so-so at first, it shifted and turned into this pretty quickly.

Here is my second attempt, which still looks halfway decent, but not perfect. I got fed up with messing with it and finally accepted mediocrity.

I doubt that I will do this again, unless I find someone talented enough and pay them to do it for me.

I tried. I failed. I ended up with double thick wrap that is very cleanly finished at one end. :o

i did it on a Alan I had. I lost the pics though. It was a pain to learn to do at first but I got the hang of it. That said, I kinda doubt I'll ever do it again.

It evokes images of jesters or some such to me. Not my bag, but I appreciate the patience it takes to wrap bars that way.

Benotto Celo tape. About 25 yrs ago. Some portions have shifted, hope it can unwrap w/o tearing.

No criticism, just an observation: These bars made me think of a Jack-O-Lantern, where the entire pumpkin was carved away and only the top teeth were left.

The bike reminded me of halloween, due to all of the black and a bit of orange. At first sight, well before Steph bought it for me, I wasn't sure if I even liked the black components. They certainly grew on me.

I didn't intentionally make it look like a jack-o-lantern, but I thought of the same thing after the bars were done. Eh, oh well.

BTW, it is Matt, not Keith.
