Hi all. I gota Jamis MTN bike, and a crappy truvativ crank/bb setup that looks like someone tried eating it. really, it's kind of a nice feeling to torque my first crank - but it still sucks.
anyhow, i need a square taper bb and crankarms at least. OR.. I can upgrade to ISIS bb and a new crank set.
OR.. i got a look at the block 8 stuff and think I may give the 3-pc a shot. it looks sturdy and i can have it shipped for $180.00 (US). Then I figured I'd use a BMX chainring and keep my cassette in back... remove the front derailer and ride like the wind.
WILL THIS WORK?
I hope to find someone that has done this type of mod - if it works i know a lot of guys wanting to rid of the front derailer and esentially build a 26" BMXer with a cassette in back.
