I just finished refurbishing a Norco Magnum GT myself and it is identical to yours. Too bad that you couldn't find some hoods. They are available on Ebay, from time to time. Should you get a set, you might want to take a look at handlebar taping (http://www.mytenspeeds.com/My_TenSpeeds_1/Site%20Contents/TapingHandlebars/TapingHandlebars_1_Introduction.htm), before installing them.

Nice job - looks great. I picked up a Magnum SE for my wife a couple of years ago (a little older than yours since it is all Arabesque/600). They are really nice riding and were pretty pricey in their day. One thing I find funny though is all the pictures of Norcos of that era I have seen (not that many out there) have Norco engraved at the top ends of the seat stays. Ours doesn't.
Oh, and ours was almost certainly completely original (except tires and handlebar tape) when we got it, and it did NOT have hoods. Wonder if they were not part of the factory package.

How is that possibly a constructive comment? Just maybe he has it set up so he can ride it comfortably. Not every bike that appears on this forum needs to look like a magazine cover. My 2 cents.
Nice looking rebuild Pinch, thanks for posting. Hope she provides miles of enjoyment for you.
