Hey gang, new here, 1st post. Live in Belton, TX. Own one bike, a vintage Specialized Hardrock. I like working on this bike, but do hit the shop for specialized work, parts, or advice. I spend about 75% of my ride time on pavement, and 25% off pavement. Would like to reverse this pattern.
My kids and wife ride my bike too. The kids have their own bikes but they dig mine. My wife is between bikes and uses my bike from time to time. I owe her a new bike... she looking.
My first bike was a Western Flyer (Western Auto brand), fat tired cruiser with coaster brakes, a tank, and battery powered horn. I literally wore this bike out. I got this bike back in the good old days, roughly 1960-1962. This bike is my frame of reference for all future bikes.
