Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

As I was traveling down I-10 this morning, I saw a really nice Mountain Bike laying in the middle of the interstate. It was a bit beat up and wheels were both bent up. About 3/4 mile further down the road was a vehicle on side of road with an empty bike rack on the back. So, what probably started out as a fun trip to ride this morning ends up with no bike, and someone else gonna be pretty upset when they run over the bike before they see it.
Check 'em two or three times before you head down the road with a bike or two on the back of your vehicle...

Not sure who got the worst of that deal. No one got anything good. Yes double check and if possible double fasten.

I use a cable lock, I'm just that paranoid.
Mountain bikes with their smaller frames can be quite iffy on some racks. I use extra straps from another rack to keep mine stable and attached.
