Do you see something missing? That's what made me complain! And when you're pulling a wheelie when this part breaks, it shocks you and makes you hurt your butt...Owww....jesus!

I've been told a a chain break on a road bike, like pushing a 52T ring hard, when then chain goes, you go too, right off the bike.

Yep, it hurts. One of the chain linkages bent outwards. Stress? I doubt it. I haven't done anything wrong. No hits no nothing. Argh. Hope my warranty covers it. Breaks under 1 week. How much abuse could I, a 118lb kid, put it through? I didn't even do any abuse unless you call going off, going up and steep hills abuse.

Chains a major factor in the drive- don't let them cheap you out.
Also I would consider for myself, a HQ chain...Anybody got recommends?

Less than a week into my riding. I say it's not my fault. I'm really REALLY pissed.

First ride on my AC1 when I had one, I broke the chain and rear deraillieur due to a faulty chain link. It is not a big thing to worry about chains break.

That makes me feel better. Don't feel like paying 20-30 bucks for a new chain when I have to get new pedals (maybe warranty will cover that too, pins missing, no abuse, I think), gloves, tools, tubes and thre rest of the important stuff.

Yeah, parents gave 200 in support, and years of saving (b-days, xmas, chinese new year (im a mooch lol) and my allowance.) Ususually I can make about 400 a year or now, with my 8 dollar allowance I get about 550 a year!

The hard part is not spending any of the money durring the year so you can put the whole $550 twoard a new bike. I always end up with a lot less than what I earlier thought.

Wow, you saved up for over a year to get that?
I hope you really take measures against the bike getting stolen :o
I worked for 2 weeks to get mine, I feel lazy :p

I have to get new pedals (maybe warranty will cover that too, pins missing, no abuse, I think)
why would you need to get new pedals if you're only missing some replacable pins? just take your bike to the shop and ask them if they have any extra pins lying around to replace the ones that fell out. and don't forget to ask them to loc-tite them.

Ah. Yes, that would be smart. But these aren't those allenkey pins. Theyre those ones that I think you use liers to take out.
