I just sent this email to BA customer relations... I have no affiliation with British Airways...
"Dear BA,
I just wanted to send you my compliments on your baggage policy! :) I regularly fly with a guitar, a bicycle or both and as I am sure you well know, this has been increasingly difficult in recent years without incurring excessive extra charges.
Allowing a guitar in addition to hand baggage, and bikes to be taken within the weight allowance regardless of size, shows just how customer orientated and reasonable you are compared to any other airline I can think of!
Once again THANK YOU - I will soon be booking my next trip to New-Zealand with you... and will spread this endorsement in the music and bicycling community.
