It would appear that I have been making coherent posts lately. Please rest assured, this is a temporary problem. I will work to rectify it by increasing my whiskey budget.

Sorry for any inconvenience I may have caused, and thanks for bearing with me while I work on the solution.

Problem is that I've cut about 2 liters out a week, and I'm not seeing stuff I'd rather forget when I get up in the morning... :(

Just wanted to apologise to everyone for any semblance of coherence - 10pm to about 7am it's kind of neccessary, since I'm at work... But I have no excuse for postings after 7am.

are you drunk now? what's with this apologizing. Your drunken posts are loved, and often get me through my day. It's fun to watch your typing get progressively worse, gets me through the first couple hours of work, at least until lunch.

We love you J, you know that.

I'm at work now, so nope, not drunk. I wasn't apologising for the drunken posts, it was that there's been less of them lately...

The lesson is, as always, I am an idiot. But we still love you.

Enough with the sob stories! Get to the drinkin' boy!

btw: I don't drink PBR because it makes me cool. I drink PBR because it just went on sale for $8.00 per case (oh happy day). I bought 7 cases. It took me 3 trips to get it all home. Not surprisingly, I'm giving my Metropolis to my Pops tomorrow and buying the Kremlin. :D

I remember going to the liquor store one time to get a 12 of PBR, and it was 2 bucks cheaper for the case! What's up with that?

I'm a member of the drunk tank. Sometimes three days a week. I'm a member of the drunk tank. There's a room reserved for me. Happy hour, every hour, seven days a week. Drinking is my game and I do it sociably. Every night the same old thing, I get behind the wheel. I'm gonna stop at every bar until I get my fill.

Something's wrong, I'm waking up out on the concrete floor. Hey, excuse me officer will you show me to the door. I'll pay a fine and promise never again. And if I lose my job I'll be drinking by profession.
I'll never drink again. I'll never drink again. GO!
Lose my license for a year, it's part of the consequence. Then enroll in A.A. with all my drinking friends. It doesn't matter, it's OK. There's no need for regrets. Because I know in no time that I'll be there again.

yeah, a pkg store I used to go to had warm cases priced the same as a 12-er in the cooler. I had a refrigerator; it was a no-brainer.

much love for cheap beer, and PBR is the king of cheap beers that have any aolcohol content whatsoever.

I'll stick to drambuie and jager though before i got PBR, sorry guys.

So DC has a law that an alcoholic beverage or more accurately, beer and malt liqour--there are exceptions for wine, whiskey, etc.--cannot be sold in containers larger than 1/10 gallon (12.8 ozs.). Can anybody explain the rationale for this type of law? Is the container really the problem? There's nothing preventing somebody from buying two.........ohhhhhh.....wait a sec......I get it now, more bucks for the distributors........sneaky.

In any event, I have to leave the city to by my Peeber tallboys, not to mention my 40 ohhzeees.

Albertsons. I live in Marin, though, so the deals might not be the same everywhere else.

Not to ruin HereNT's reputation of being perpetually drunk, but it's kind of strange to ride with him after he gets off work in the mornings, before the liquor stores open. I think I'm one of the few to see him sober. Incidentally, I've starting drinking more since I started riding with him.

Nope. After you're underway for 30 plus days, that first drink is pretty amazing. It could be the worst rot gut radiator fluid stuff there is and it still taste awesome.

And think of all the lessons you'd learn from abstaining:

How to say no.
How to say no.
How to say no understress.
How to say no eventhoughyoudidn'tkillsomeonewhoneededit.
How not to end up with the ugly girl in the morning..
How not to end up with various injuries..
Mostly, how to say no.

It'd be a challenge.

Well boys, tomorrow it is friday and I will be digging into a 3 l bag-in-box of Estonian Vodka and tonic, probably in the garage while messing up my bike or loosing ball bearings all over the floor.

My sort of quality time

You are, at least as far as people I ride with. Second shift at work sees me sober every once in awhile (probably over the limit from the night before when I go in in the morning).

Are you sure the drinking more is my fault, or is that everyone on the sat night ride's fault? Our morning rides are sans liquor...

Of course, we could change that pretty easily...

Oh, I'm not saying the drinking more is anyone's fault but my own. I'm drinking 3 times what I was 2 months ago, which just means I'm drinking 6-9 beers a week instead of 2-3 Tom Collins. Besides, someone has to be sober enough to keep you away from the parked cars.

Yeah, Chuck's not the person for that. Still haven't heard from the owner yet. Maybe I should have been following you instead of him...

Geez maybe I should get up on Wednesdays.
I am wondering what to do with the drunk tank song, as I work in the profession and got my start at a "drunk tank." It was a detox center, and we medically detoxed people off of that vile conncotion known as alcohol. I guess after loosing a couple friends to their bouts with relapsing, I didn't think it was too funny. I guess it is just that I work in the field and have seen too much to kid about it. Sorry.
I also have to admit there is part of me that craves for a shot of Chevas neat with a Guniess to chase. Of course that's just to start, er clear the palete for what's to come.
