What do you folks think about these tires for the UO-8 and/or the Marathon? Have any of you used them? Did you like them? Are they modern technology with a classic look or classic technology with a classic look?

Classic technology with a classic look. They are good tires for commuters cruisers and utility type bikes. I'm putting a set on a 650b bike I am building. I put a set on my wifes Motobecane mixte and they are perfect. They are wide, fat, and durable. Great for tooling around town.

I would spend a little more $ for the Panasonic Parsela. Michelin City with reflective sidewall is also a very good tire.

I recently put a pair of Michelin World Tour tires on my Peugeot P8 daily ride. So far I'm quite pleased.

I like to ride on some local hard-packed trails and old RR grades. None of this should require knobbies, but the high-pressure skinny tires I was using were harsh, especially since I'm a large rider. The wider World Tours softened the ride and gave me more control in the sandy patches. The catch is that the tires are heavier, but I haven't noticed.

I'm actually about to outfit a UO-8 with the same tires.

Thanks for the input guys! I got a pair of Kendas from the LBS just for the time being to shake things out on the bike and make sure it's running right and all that. I have actually had GREAT luck running Kendas on my motorcycles so I am optimistic that these will be nice tires. I'll swap them out later with an on-line purchase if I need to. They were the only in-stock option.

I have World Tours on and going on a few bikes that take 26 x 1 3/8 tires. The one that is done road very nicely and the ones I got have the reflective side wall. Compared to the standard cheap Kenda's (they only make low end tires in that size) the bike with the World Tours road like a dream.
